The much-awaited Freshers’ Day Event 2023 for the Computer Applications (MCA) students at Patna Women’s College was held on the 26th of July in an offline mode, where students gathered to showcase their incredible talents.
The event commenced at 1:00 p.m. with an enthusiastic audience witnessing some exceptional performances by the semester-1 students. The occasion was graced by esteemed Chief Guests, Ms. Sameeksha Sinha, Cultural Coordinator, and Ms. Puja Kumari, Assistant Professor, both from Patna Women’s College (Autonomous).
The program began with an enchanting welcome dance performed gracefully by two students, leaving the audience spellbound. Following that, a vibrant group of eight students presented a melodious group song themed around the season of ‘Saawan’, adding a delightful touch to the event.
The atmosphere turned introspective as Komal recited a powerful poem on Women Empowerment, leaving a lasting impact on everyone present. The students then brought forth their creativity through a thought-provoking “Skit on Social Media Awareness,” performed by a talented group of eleven students.
Throughout the event, two students charmed the audience as the anchors, keeping the momentum lively and engaging. Dr. Bhawana Sinha, the Head of the Department of Computer Applications, delivered a motivating speech, encouraging students to actively participate in such activities while excelling in their academic pursuits. Her words of wisdom uplifted spirits and garnered appreciation from all.
The Chief Guests, Ms. Sameeksha Sinha and Ms. Puja Kumari were impressed by the students’ performances and shared inspiring anecdotes from their own experiences. They commended the efforts of the participants and encouraged them to continue exploring such avenues of self-expression and learning.
As the event concluded, Raunak Afroz, a semester-1 MCA student, extended a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of Freshers’ Day 2023.
The event undoubtedly left an indelible mark on the students’ minds, inspiring them to further explore their talents and actively engage in co-curricular activities.
