The Department of Botany, Patna Women’s College organized Freshers’ Day on 27th July, 2023 at 11:00 am in room no. 306 to welcome the new batch of vibrant and enthusiastic students. The event began by ribbon-cutting ceremony by our honored guests Dr. Sister Celine Cresta A.C., Head, Department of History and Ms. Pooja Kumari, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce at Patna Women’s College (Autonomous). Dr. Pinky Prasad, Head Department of Botany welcomed all and motivated the freshers to study hard and participate actively in co curricular activities for their holistic development. The students showcased their talents with a range of performances. The programme began with prayer dance by Palak and her team. It was followed by a Welcome Song sung by Sister Asha, Sister Meri and their team. Rishika recited a beautiful poem composed by her on starting a new journey as a fresher. Arya and her team presented group song which was euphonic. A beautiful cultural dance by Aparajita and her group representing a tradition of India from different States enchanted the audience. Anuska and Janhvi meticulously moderated the whole event. Sister Celine shared her views and appreciated the hard work of the newcomers. She encouraged the students to fully avail the resources of the college. The guests were offered plant saplings as a token of gratitude. The programme ended with Vote of thanks proposed by Laiba and group photographs.
