Freshers’ Day 28th July 2023

The Department of Economics, Patna Women’s College organised Freshers’ Day for the Semester-I students on 28th July 2023. The students practiced for days to showcase their talents and present the best programme in the limited time given to them. Anu Shruti and Ankita Kumari started the event which was followed by the prayer dance in which the girls thanked God for everything he has bestowed upon us. Sunidhi Kumari sang a soulful song. Shweta Kumari recited her self composed poem “Why its not easy for a girl to dream” . After that Ishika Priya and group danced and portrayed the story of Radha and Krishna. Then came the concluding performance by Suhani Mehta who performed a solo dance on a Punjabi folk song.
The guests for the programme were Miss Manisha Prasad, Head ,Department of Bachelor of Computer Application and Miss Puja Kumari, Assistant Professor of the Department of Commerce . To encourage the students Dr. Zareen Fatima , Head ,Department of Economics along with all the faculty members was also present . The programme ended with few words of encouragement by Miss Manisha Prasad who congratulated the students for their performances and asked them to continue to train and brush up their talents so that when they leave the premises of this prestigious institution 4 years later, they are holistically groomed women who can play an intrinsic part in the path to the development of the society.
