Date – 15th March 2022

Brief Report –
Patna Women’s College (Autonomous) celebrated Holi Milan on 15th March 2022 at 12 Noon in the Sports Ground of the College. The programme commenced with the lightening of the holika pyre by Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C. , Principal, Patna women’s college. A total of 8 groups participated in the Holi Milan where they depicted the social issues faced during holi with their impactful and enthralling dance performance. The participants performed their dance on songs like ‘Brij me Holi’, ‘Murshid kheleholi’, ‘Radhe Radhe’ and ‘Jaa re hat natkhat’ which portrayed themes like eve-teasing, women empowerment, injustice that transgenders and widows face. Dr. Manjula Sushila, Head, Department of Hindi, Ms. Amrita Prakash, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Application (BCA) and Ms. Taniya Banerjee, Assistant Professor, Department of Political Science were the jury members for the event. The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Astha Anand, Jt. General Secretary, Patna Women’s College. The programme was compered by Sandhya Kumari, Jt. General Secretary and Yashi Raj, Cultural Secretary, Patna Women’s College. The programme was well coordinated by Dr. Sister M. Tanisha A.C, Vice Principal & Head, department of Home Science and the Cultural Co-ordinators Ms. Enakshi Dey Biswas and Ms. Samiksha Sinha, Assistant Professor, Department of Sociology. The entire event was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Sister M Rashmi A.C., Principal, Patna Women’s College. The winners list has been enclosed below.
