Brief Report –
Patna Women’s College joyously celebrated Holi Milan on the 3rd of March at 9:30 AM in the Sports Ground of the college. The program commenced with the lighting of the Holika pyre by Dr. Sister M. Tanisha A.C., Vice- Principal, Patna Women’s College. A total of 10 groups enthusiastically participated in the Holi Milan event, where they showcased the social issues faced during Holi through impactful and captivating dance performances. Their dances were accompanied by songs such as ‘Rang-Rang De,’ ‘Murshid khele holi,’ and ‘Jahan Jahan Radhe,’ depicting themes like eve-teasing, acid attacks, women empowerment, inter-religious harmony, and brotherhood. The Vice-Principal, Dr. Sister M. Tanisha A.C., appreciated the participants for their performances, and she encouraged and commended the hard work of the participants and emphasized the importance of embracing moral values to become agents of positive change in society. The event was judged by respected faculty members, including Dr. Sumeet Ranjan, Assistant Professor,Department of Zoology, Ms. Taniya Banerjee, Assistant Professor, Department of Political Science, and Ms. Puja Kumari, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce. The program was well-coordinated by the Cultural Coordinators, Dr. Sister Celine Crasta A.C., Head, Department of History, Ms. Samiksha Sinha, Assistant Professor, Department of Sociology, and Ms. Enakshi Dey Biswas, Coordinator, Performing Arts. The whole was organized under the supervision of Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C., the Principal, and Dr. Sister M. Tanisha A.C., the Vice-Principal of Patna Women’s College.
