Brief Report:

Patna Women’s College organized a-three-day program from 7th March 2021 to 9th March 2021 to celebrate International Women’s Day in collaboration with WE (PWC GENDER CELL) under the guidance of Dr. Sister M Rashmi AC, Principal, Patna Women’s College. The entire campus was decorated with handmade crafts, posters, Rangoli and artistic materials by the students without the colour blue and pink under the guidance of the coordinators, Ms. Samiksha Sinha, Assistant Professor, Department of Sociology and Ms. Priyanka Assistant Professor, Department of History. The theme of the posters was “Struggles of Women in Challenging Patriarchy”. The celebration included the following events: Mono Act and Nukkad Natak. The Mono Act Competition was held in the stage hall by the Dakhal Theatre Society on the topic: “Women as survivors”. The competition had a total of 10 participants. The participating girls showcased the current situation of women in India as well as the world. They highlighted the crimes against women and their survivor stories. The judges of the event were Zareen Fatima, Assistant Prof. Department of Economics and Yosha Singh, Assistant Prof, Department of Advertising and Marketing Management. The event was Coordinated by Dr. Richa, Assistant Professor, Department of English and Ms. Papita Dey Biswas, Coordinator Performing Arts. The Nukkad Natak was held at the basketball court, by the students of Performing arts. The theme of the nukkad Natak was “Naari ki Kahani, shero ki Zubani”. The act showcased the condition of women in urban India, and also highlighted on the importance of women’s education and awareness. The act was coordinated by Ms. Papita Dey Biswas. The Principal, Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C. gave her warm wishes to all the students of PWC. She praised all the participants and artists for their extreme hard work and talent.
