The event was organized by the Department of Computer Applications (MCA). The topic for the event was IoT and its applications in a real-time environment where students from all fields presented their ideas/models and the future scopes in the field of IoT. Fifteen students registered for this event from various colleges. Out of fifteen only, nine were present at this event.

The event began with the Co-Ordinator of the event Mr. Braj Kishor Prasad, Assistant Professor, Department of MCA who came up on stage to give an introduction about the IoT-Ideathon and drew their attention towards the advancing field of IoT technology and its part in our daily life. He suggested to registered themselves on national & international platforms like Microsoft Imagine Cup, MIT Hack, Google Solution Challenge, Google Hashcode, Kickstart Coding, ICPC Codechef, Arabnet Ideathon, Confluence Ideathon, Dare2Compete, etc. Students from different technical and non-technical departments came up with innovative ideas as some students of the Zoology Department presented their ideas such as WOOJIX a line follower IoT robot, Solar roadways, and a Smart Attendance System using Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. The judges for the event were the professors of the MCA department who viewed all the presented ideas and also put forward their views and queries to the students.

Some of the most innovative ideas were the Plant Watering System and Indian Railways Accident Prevention technology to avoid railway accidents presented by the student of the MCA department.
At last, the judges put forward their views and thanked all the students for participating and making the event successful. The vote of thanks was given by Ms. Pratima Kumari, Assistant Professor, Department of MCA.

It was a wonderful event full of innovative ideas and active participants. It was a great opportunity for the students to showcase their talents and explore new and emerging fields of technology.
