Brief Report-
On October 13th, 2022, Patna Women’s College organized a Menstrual Hygiene Awareness Campaign as part of the Global Climate Change Week. The event featured Miss Samiksha Sinha, Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology at Patna Women’s College, as the resource person. She enlightened the students about the importance of maintaining proper menstrual hygiene. Miss Sinha emphasized that raising awareness and promoting openness is crucial in educating women about effective menstrual hygiene management. She highlighted the significance of menstrual awareness in today’s society, discussing the 5 Ps of Period: products, palms, pain, paper, and the period between menstrual cycles. Miss Sinha emphasized the importance of mental hygiene as well. The session was attended by a total of 200 students and was skillfully moderated by Simpi Kumari, Environment and Discipline Secretary, Student Council 2023. The entire program was well-coordinated under the guidance of Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C., the Principal of Patna Women’s College.
