Brief Report –

On the 6th of August 2022, Patna Women’s College (Autonomous) organized a prestigious Online National Level Inter-College Debate Competition on the Zoom platform. This event served as the closing ceremony of the “Aazadi ka Amrit Mahotsav,” with the theme “Aazadi ki Goonj, Pragati ki ore agrasar bharat.” The entire competition was meticulously organized under the guidance of Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C., the Principal, and Dr. Sister M. Tanisha A.C., the Vice-Principal of Patna Women’s College. The competition encompassed both Hindi and English categories. The English debate topic focused on “Borders drawn within the countries are a bigger threat than cross-country borders.” A total of 13 teams, comprising 26 participants from colleges all over India, enthusiastically participated in this thought-provoking competition. In the Hindi category, the topic was “Aaj ka Bhaarat Hamare Swatantrata Senaniyon ke Sapno ka Sakaar Roop Hain.” Here, 10 teams, consisting of 20 participants, engaged in a passionate debate. The competition commenced with a warm welcome extended to the esteemed jury members by Professor Mr. Alok John, the Dean of National and International Collaboration and Consultancy Services (NICCS). The Hindi Debate Competition had distinguished jury members: Dr. Ramendra Prasad Ojha from St. Aloysius College (Autonomous), Jabalpur, Dr. Jyoti Chandel from Sophia Girls College, Ajmer, and Dr. Manish Tiwari from NIT, Patna. Ms. Manisha Prasad, Head of the Department of Computer Science, Ms. Nimisha Manan, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science, and Mr. Adweetiya Sinha, Assistant Professor, Department of Political Science, served as the Event Incharge. The competition was skillfully coordinated by the Cultural Coordinators of Patna Women’s College, Dr. Sister Celine Crasta AC, Head, Department of History, and Ms. Samiksha Sinha, Assistant Professor, Department of Sociology, Patna Women’s College.
