National Webinar

Department of Sociology in collaboration with St. Teresa college, Ernakulum organized a national seminar on 13-03-24 at 7:30 pm. The topic of the seminar was- Doing Sociology-Arts science and practice. The resource person was Dr. Jyothi Nair, Associate professor, KNM College, Kanjiramkulam. The online webinar provided an in depth insights about sociology’s multifaceted nature and its intersection with arts, science and practical applications. The resource person highlighted the holistic nature of sociology as a subject involving empiricism vs rationalism, west vs rest. How sociology serves as a bridge between quantitative and qualitative methodologies, offering students a comprehensive understanding of human behaviour and societal structures through extensive use of real life examples.
