In a remarkable display of environmental consciousness and dedication, the students of the Department of Education, Patna Women’s College Autonomous, have brought nature to life within the confines of their department. The inauguration of the “Nurture the Nature” Green Corner took place on 19th July 2023 by Dr. Sister Saroj A.C., Head, Department of Education, Patna Women’s College. The corner showcased the students’ commitment to fostering a sustainable and eco-friendly culture. The green corner serves as a testament to their understanding of the importance of nature and its positive impact on our well-being.
The students of Semester 1 session 2023-25 spearheaded the development of the “Nurture the Nature” Green Corner, bringing their enthusiasm and innovative ideas to the forefront. Collaborating with the Department’s Science and Mathematics Club, they meticulously selected plants and pots to create an enchanting environment that would captivate all who laid eyes upon it. With careful consideration, ornamental flowers, indoor plants, and small shrubs were strategically placed throughout the corner, resulting in a harmonious blend of colours, scents, and textures. They will observe the plant and journal its development. Dr. Rashmi Sinha, Assistant Professor, Department of Education, Patna Women’s College Autonomous, is the in-charge of the whole programme.

During the inauguration ceremony, the students of Semester 1 pledged their unwavering commitment to ensure the longevity and vitality of the “Nurture the Nature” Green Corner. Recognizing their role as stewards of this green sanctuary, they vowed to diligently cater to the plants’ every need. This encompassed regular watering, adding fertilizers, and meticulous pruning. Furthermore, the students pledged to vigilantly monitor the well-being and growth of the plants, promptly addressing any pests or diseases that might threaten their health. Through their pledge, the students have instilled confidence that the green corner will forever remain a thriving testament to their nurturing efforts.
The inauguration of the “Nurture the Nature” Green Corner stands as a milestone in the department’s commitment to environmental sustainability and fostering a green culture. Through their passionate endeavours, the students have crafted an enduring space that breathes life into their surroundings, providing solace and inspiration to all.
