Organized an online guest lecture on 25th April, 2023

The Department of Mathematics , Patna Women’s College (Autonomous) organized an online guest lecture on 25th April, 2023 on the topic “Mathematical modelling and its applications” for the batch 2022-2025,Semester II. The resource person for the lecture was Dr. Avinita Gautam, Post-doctoral Fellow, University Of Catania, Italy.
The event started with the welcoming by Miss Jaya Bhushan , Assistant Professor, Department Of Mathematics(Autonomous). Further, there was the introduction of the resource person by Dr. Alka Kumari , Head, Department Of Mathematics, Patna Women’s College (Autonomous). The lecture was all about the applications of Mathematical Modelling in real life situations such as in Ecology, Biology and Epidemiology. Students got to know how Mathematical Modelling is helpful in predicting disease spread, making graphs and in many more situations. It gives precision and strategy for problem solution and enables a systematic understanding of the system modelled.
The resource person presented an example where she ran a program related to the topic. The lecture was very interactive and proved to be advantageous to the students. Vote of thanks was presented by Miss Jaya Bhushan . All the Faculty members were present for the Lecture.
