The twelfth lecture of “Reflections”Lecture Series
Department of English, Patna Women’s College organised the twelfth lecture of “Reflections”Lecture Series on April 28, 2023. This online series aims to provide the students and teachers a platform to listen to and interact with academicians and intellectuals on subjects of literary and social concern.
The topic of the lecture was “Bridging the gap between Humanities, Social Sciences and Sciences through Research Methodology”. The guest speaker was Professor Smriti Singh, Professor and Associate Dean, Student Affairs, IIT, Patna. She is also an alumna of the department of English, Patna Women’s College. She shared her insights on Research and its objectives, different kinds of research, difference between Method and Methodology, methods used in Humanities and its application in research. The lecture was summarised by Archana Kumari, a student of M.A. semester IV, Department of English. It was followed by an interactive session with the students and faculty members of the Department of English, Patna Women’s College.
The session was moderated by Lowrin Azad, a student of M.A. sem II, Department of English, Patna Women’s College and vote of thanks was proposed by Mahwish Jamil, a student of M.A. semester II, Department of English, Patna Women’s College. The lecture was attended by 62 participants altogether
