Workshop on Demonstration of Meteorological Centre
On 15th September, 2023 the Department of physics and Geography, Patna Women’s college in collaboration with Meteorological Centre patna and Guwahati, organised a workshop on Demonstration of Meteorological Centre at the Mother Veronica Excellence & Innovation Centre(MVEIC).The event commenced with the welcoming of the esteemed guests, Mr. Saurabh Kumar, Scientist C, Meteorological Centre Patna and Mr. Deepak Singh, Scientist C and Head Meteorological Centre Patna. After which Dr.Aprajita Krishna, Dean, Faculty of Science and Head of the Department of Physics addressed the dias and welcomed the guests. Soon after which Mr. Saurabh Kumar enlightened the students about the various Meteorological elements and it’s measurement and elaborated about the eight parameters and factors of weather and climate.
Then after everyone went to the Meteorological observatory of Patna Women’s college and Mr. Deepak Singh enlightened the gathering about the Meteorological observatory’s instrumental setup in detail.
Dr. Kavita Verma, Dr. Amrita, Dr. Lalit Kumar Sharma, Dr. Riekshika Sanwari, Mr. Dharmendra Rai were all present throughout the event .
The students of semester first, third and fifth of the Physics department along with third semester students of the Geography department were present as the audience.
