Brief Write up –
On February 1st, 2023, in commemoration of World Wetland Day, the ECO Task Force and the Department of Zoology collaborated to organize an Interdepartmental ‘Poster Making Competition.’ The competition centered around the theme of ‘Wetland Restoration.’ It was a group event, with each group comprising a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 students. A total of 52 groups from various departments eagerly participated in the competition, showcasing their concern for wetland conservation and presenting their ideas for wetland restoration. The significance of wetlands in supporting biodiversity, climate mitigation, and groundwater recharge was emphasized. Esteemed judges for the event included Dr. Madhu Rani Sinha, the Head of the Department of Chemistry, Dr. Pinki Prasad, the Head of the Department of Botany, and Dr. Arti Kumari, the Head of the Department of Biotechnology. The entire program was successfully coordinated under the guidance of Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C., Principal, Patna Women’s College.
