An Orientation Programme for Tark Debating Society Dakhal Theatre Society
An Orientation Programme for the newly registered members of Tark Debating Society Dakhal Theatre Society was organised on 5th August, 2023 in Mother Veronica Hall, Patna Women’s College . Dr. Richa, Assistant Professor, Patna College who had started these societies was the resource person for the event. She talked about the inception and importance of Dakhal and Tark Societies. She said that the task of these societies was to make its members rational and logical so that they think on their own. Dr. Shahla Rehana, Associate Professor, Patna Women’s College and the newly appointed co-ordinator of Tark, talked about the importance of debate and dissent in the present times. She also explained how a debate is to be conducted . Dr Prabhat Jha, Assistant Professor, Patna Women’s College and the new co-ordinator of Dakhal Theatre society, traced the history for social change and discussed the road map ahead for the workshops. Ms. Divya Gautam, Assistant Professor, Department of BMC acquainted the members with her experiences of theatre to bring equality within the society. Ms. Lowrin Azad, a postgraduate student from the department of English moderated the session and Ms. Shailja Jha, an Undergraduate student gave the vote of thanks. Ms Maanvi, a member of Dakhal society also shared her experiences related to the Theatre society.
