The Department of Social Work, Patna women’s college (autonomous), Patna University observed anti-ragging week from 12.08.24 to 16.08.24. The department organized various activities for the students to know about ragging and its consequences. This week created an awareness campaign for the students.
On 12.08.24 the students were shown short documentaries highlighting the issue of ragging. They were made aware about the anti – ragging committees and the helpline numbers. On 13.08.24 the students of semester 1 filled the online anti – ragging affidavit successfully. Anti – ragging helpline number were provided.
On 16.08.24 the department organized various activities like poster making competition, slogan Making competition and essay writing competition both semester 1 and 3 participated in it with great enthusiasm and determination. The winners of the poster making competition was Kumari Prerna, Shadma Hussain and Umra Islam of Sem I. The winner of slogan making competition was Muskan Singh of Sem III. The winner of Essay writing competition was Ishitta Singh of Sem I.
