On April 22nd, 2023, the SRISHTI Environment Club of Patna Women’s College, Autonomous observed Earth Day. The program commenced with a quote accentuating the significance of nature in all our well-being, followed by the introductory session. The Srishti Club Anthem was sung by the college Anthem group and all the Srishti Club members as a symbol of their devotion towards mother Earth.

Dr. Amrita Chowdhury, Coordinator, Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) administered the Srishti Club pledge.  Further, she addressed the gathering and advised everyone to plant more and more trees and to convince others to conserve natural resources for a healthy ecosystem.

As a contribution towards our planet, the students planted a plant sapling near the Patna women’s college gymnasium.

The Srishti Club members participated in an enlightening session by Resource Person Abhishek Kumar from KARO SAMBHAV also.  The topic of the session was “Importance of E-Waste Management Rule, 2022”. He sensitized students towards proper disposal of E-Waste and said never refuse to reuse in a bid to save our planet.

The vote of thanks was proposed by Anjani Kumari, Joint Environment and Discipline Secretary Student Council 2023-24. The moderator of the event was Tejaswi Kumari Environment and Discipline Secretary Student Council 2023-24. The event was successfully organized under the guidance of Meenakshi Mishra, coordinator, Srishti Club, and assistant professor Department of Geography.
