The Department of Computer Science & Applications organized a specialized workshop titled “Effective Communication Skills” for MCA semester-1, semester-3, and PGDCA students. The session aimed to instill an interdisciplinary perspective in their academic and professional pursuits.
The workshop commenced with Dr. Bhawna Sinha, Head of the Department, extending a warm welcome to the guest speaker, Ms. Yosha Singh, Assistant Professor of Advertising and Marketing Management at Patna Women’s College.
Ms. Yosha Singh initiated the session by exploring the fundamentals of communication, stressing the significance of clarity, conciseness, and coherence in both verbal and written exchanges. She underscored the critical role of proper grammar in ensuring accurate message delivery. Additionally, she distinguished between hearing and listening, offering practical strategies for effective public speaking. Ms. Yosha Singh addressed common public speaking fears, and provided guidance on how to deliver impactful speeches, emphasizing the importance of preparation, practice, and confidence.
