The Department of Computer Applications(MCA) in collaboration with the Department of Education, Patna Women’s College organized a workshop on ‘Question Bank Preparation using Revised Bloom’s Taxonomy“. The workshop consisted of two sessions. In the first session, the demonstration on automated Question Paper Generating software Question Bank Management System(QBMS) was given. In the second session hands-on training was given to the faculty members to map the previous year questions to the cognitive levels of the Revised Bloom’s Taxonomy. The total number of participants were 120.
The programme started with the College Anthem. Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C. Principal, Patna Women’s College addressed the participants of the workshop and shared her views about the importance of the Question Bank preparation.

Dr. Upasana Singh, Dean and Head of the Education Department & Resource person of the workshop and heads & faculty members of various departments and the members of the Examination cell.
In the first session, Dr. Bhawna Sinha introduced the theme and need of the workshop. She demonstrated the automated Question Paper Generating software Question Bank Management System(QBMS), which is fast, streamlined, randomized, and secure. The software is developed by the Department of Computer Applications(MCA). The QBMS can generate questions randomly and at various cognitive levels. It has a secured database and it can also eliminate duplicate questions.
Dr. Upasana Singh, Dean and Head of the Department of Education, Patna Women’s College, resource person of the workshop threw more light on the application and domain of Bloom’s Taxonomy in the preparation of Question Bank. She discussed about the Bloom’s Taxonomy and Revised Bloom’s Taxonomy. She talked about an ideal Question Bank and also discussed some examples of questions with levels according to Revised Bloom’s Taxonomy.
