Skill Development Training Programme Cum Faculty Development Programme on Cyber Security & Ethical Hacking
The Department of Computer Science & Applications at Patna Women’s College, in collaboration with the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, proudly inaugurated a comprehensive Faculty Development Program (FDP) cum Skill Development Program on Cyber Security and Ethical Hacking. The program, which runs from September 23 to September 28, 2024, is designed to build expertise in cyber security to address the challenges of tomorrow.
The program, held at the Virtual Lab of the MCA Department, was officially opened with a ceremonial welcome by Dr. Bhawna Sinha, Head of the Department of MCA. The inaugural session was graced by the Chief Guest, Mr. Ritesh R Dhote, Scientist E & Head of ACTS, C-DAC Patna, who was honored with a sapling as a token of respect by Ms. Sushmita Chakraborty. Other notable experts leading the sessions include Mr. Aditya Nath Swami and Mr. Shailendra Pratap Singh, both Scientists B at C-DAC Patna.
Throughout the six-day program, participants—comprising faculty members and MCA students—will engage in intensive training designed to promote synergy between industry and academia. Key features of the program include in-depth sessions on the unique characteristics of cyber security, ethical hacking, IP address checks, Cisco Packet Tracing, OSI models, DHCP, CIDR (Subnetting and Supernetting), as well as Static and Dynamic Routing.
Expressing her gratitude, Dr. Bhawna Sinha extended special thanks to Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C., Principal of Patna Women’s College, whose continuous support and guidance were instrumental in making this program a reality. The program’s success is a testament to the college’s commitment to equipping its faculty and students with the cutting-edge skills necessary for the evolving digital landscape.
The FDP cum Skill Development Program is expected to leave a lasting impact, preparing participants to become the guardians of tomorrow’s digital world.
