‘NATIONAL MATHEMATICS DAY’

Patna Women’s College (Autonomous) and St. Aloysius College (Autonomous) organised a National Webinar on the occassion of “National Mathematics Day”. The topic was “HISTORY AND RECENT TRENDS IN MATHEMATICS” The interaction was divided into six technical sessions. In technical session I, Dr. Mandira Kar, HOD of Mathematics,St. Aloysius College, enlightened us on her topic ‘MATHEMATICAL LEGACY TO THE WORLD FROM INDIA’. In technical session II, all the participants of Patna Women’s College (Autonomous) shared there presentation on different mathematical topics such as cryptography, differential equations and calculus. Furthermore, in technical session III, Dr. Alka Kumari, HOD of Department of Mathematics Patna Women’s College (Autonomous) discussed about ‘REAL ANALYSIS: SEQUENCE AND SERIES’, one of the important topics of mathematics. Then in technical session IV, all the participants of St Aloysius College (Autonomous) shared their presentations on topics such as Riemann integration,Laplace transform and ancient mathematics.

Department of Mathematics organised poster competition on the topic ``Gender sensitization :Challenges and strategies `` on 18/08/2022.at 12:00 p.m.in room no. 4.11 for Semester V students.

Department of Mathematics organised an offline guest lecture on 24th August 2022 at 1:30 p. M. in room no. 1.04 on the topic ``Matrix Computations:An Introduction`` by Dr. Pranjal, Former Post doctoral Associate, Department of Mathematics, Virginia Tech,USA.An interactive session was conducted after the guest lecture. Students gain a lot about Computational Mathematics.

The Department of Mathematics ,Patna Women's College organised Poster making Competition on the topic 'History and development of Mathematics in India ' under Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav for Sem V and Sem III. Judgement was done by Dr. Pallawi, Head, Department of BBA, Ms Moon-Head, Department of Statistics, Ms Shweta Shah-Asst. Professor, Department of Commerce, Patna Women's College.

The Department of Mathematics , Patna Women’s College(Autonomous), organised a Guest lecture on the topic ‘Applications of Mathematics in Complex Biological Problems’ by Dr. Pappu Kumar, Assistant professor, Department of Mathematics, HR College, J. P. University, Offline. Dr. Alka kumari, Head, Department of Mathematics, introduced the Resource person with a Welcome address . The topic was discussed widely with the students of Mathematics Semester IV. An interactive session was there for 15 minutes after the Lecture. Vote of thanks was given by Samriddhi.

Personality class conducted for Mathematics sem III

The Department of Mathematics ,Patna Women’s College(Autonomous),organized an Online Parent-teacher meet for the students of Sem V on 26/10/2021 at 3:15 p.m.All the students joined with their parents.<br /> The meeting started by welcoming the parents by the head of the Department ,Dr.Alka Kumari. A PowerPoint presentation and virtual tour through short video was shown by Dr Alka kumari .<br /> Vision,mission and core values of the college was discussed by Dr.seema mishra.The role of parents in the development of their wards and expectations from the students were discussed by Dr.Ravi Kumar. All the teachers attended the PTM.The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Alka kumari
